Small Footprint, Big Possibilities: The Appeal of Park Model Homes

Park Model Homes are changing the way people think about homebuilding. Designed with intention and built with the same craftsmanship as our full-sized Ready-to-Move homes, these smaller, fully livable cottages offer comfort, functionality, and style — all within a compact footprint.

At Country Estate Homes, every Park Model is custom built in Alberta to meet the unique needs of our clients. Whether it’s a cozy retreat by the lake, a guest house on your acreage, or a low-maintenance home base for those seeking a simpler lifestyle, each design balances quality construction with thoughtful details that make daily living effortless.

What truly sets our Park Models apart is their year-round durability. Built for Western Canada’s four seasons, they feature premium insulation, energy-efficient windows, and structural integrity that stands up to Alberta’s wind, snow, and sun. Each home is engineered for easy transport and placed on-site with precision, ensuring every finish arrives exactly as designed.

Inside, clever design meets elevated comfort. Every square foot is maximized — from open-concept layouts and vaulted ceilings to custom cabinetry and warm finishes that make the space feel anything but small. You can add your own personal touch, choosing from a variety of layouts, finishes, and materials to reflect your taste and lifestyle.

A Park Model Home isn’t just a smaller version of something bigger — it’s a smarter way to live. It invites connection, reduces maintenance, and celebrates simplicity without sacrificing quality. For those who value craftsmanship, comfort, and the freedom to live where they love, a Park Model offers a beautiful balance between function and freedom.

Smaller footprint. Greater possibilities. Built for life in Western Canada.

Ready to Move Home - Is it the right fit for you?

When you’re dreaming of a new home, there are more ways than ever to bring that vision to life. One of the most flexible — and often overlooked — options is a Ready-To-Move home, or RTM.

RTMs offer the craftsmanship of a site-built home, the personalization of a custom design, and the convenience of having your home delivered complete and ready to place on your foundation.

What Makes an RTM Home Unique?

Unlike factory-built modular homes, an RTM from Country Estate Homes is constructed entirely from scratch in our own yard — by the same skilled tradespeople and using the same high-quality materials as a traditional on-site build.

Every RTM we create starts with your plans, your layout, and your preferences. From there, we build your home piece by piece, exactly the way it would be built on-site — only we do it in one location where our team can monitor quality from start to finish.

Depending on the design and size, some RTMs are built in one piece and transported complete, while larger homes are built in two sections and joined seamlessly on-site. Either way, you receive a fully custom home with the same integrity, comfort, and quality as any traditional build.

Why Homeowners Choose an RTM

  1. Custom Design, Your Way
Every RTM is uniquely designed for your lifestyle, your land, and your vision. You choose the layout, finishes, and details — we bring it to life.

  2. Consistent Quality
Because every home is built in our yard by our own team, you get consistent workmanship and accountability at every step.

  3. Predictable Timelines
Your home is built start to finish in one coordinated location. That means fewer scheduling delays and smoother delivery.

  4. Less Disruption on Your Property
There’s no months-long construction site outside your door. When the home arrives, it’s nearly complete — ready to be set, joined (if applicable), and connected.

  5. Ideal for Rural and Acreage Properties
RTMs are perfect for those who own land or are building in the country. You get a full-size, high-quality home without needing a large crew on-site for months.

A Few Considerations Before Choosing an RTM

While RTMs are a fantastic option, they aren’t for every site or situation.

  • Delivery Access: The home (or sections of it) must be transported, so clear road access and adequate clearance are essential.

  • Size Restrictions: Because of transportation limits, RTMs are generally capped around certain widths and heights.

  • Foundation Requirements: You’ll need a prepared foundation ready before delivery day to ensure smooth placement and connection.

Is an RTM Right for You?

If you want a custom-built home designed exactly for your needs, constructed by skilled craftspeople, and delivered efficiently to your property — an RTM might be the perfect fit.

At Country Estate Homes, we don’t just build homes — we build lasting relationships. Every project begins with a conversation about how you live, what you love, and where you’re headed next.
